Fretwork is a guitar reference app: chords, scales, the CAGED system, tab reading, a tuner, and a metronome. The short version of this policy: Fretwork collects no personal data, and nothing you do in the app ever leaves your device.
Information we collect
None. Fretwork has no accounts, no sign-in, and no analytics or tracking of any kind. We do not collect your name, email, location, device identifiers, or usage data. There are no servers that receive information from the app.
Microphone
The tuner listens through your device's microphone to detect the pitch of a played string. That audio is processed entirely on your device, in real time, only to show how close you are to a note. The microphone is active only while the tuner is running. Audio is never recorded, saved, transmitted, or shared — nothing is uploaded anywhere.
Data stored on your device
Your preferences — custom tunings you create, your selected tuning, left-handed mode, and the colour-blind palette setting — are saved locally so the app remembers them between sessions. This stays on your device, is not transmitted to us or anyone else, and is removed if you delete the app.
Third parties
Fretwork contains no third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs. We do not sell or share data with anyone, because we do not collect any.
Children
Fretwork is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
